Akkar finds, moves and manages the specialist engineers behind physical technology: robotics, autonomy, defence, aerospace, space and automotive. We are now building a new consulting business that takes us from supplying talent to delivering engineering outcomes for some of the most ambitious companies in the field.

The role

This is the person who builds and leads that business. You will set its direction, win its first clients, grow the team quickly and own the results, with the backing of an established company and a route to future ownership of what you build.

What you will do

• Shape the strategy and own the P&L, reporting to the CEO
• Win the first clients personally and build lasting relationships with technical leaders
• Grow a high-calibre team across sales and delivery, at pace
• Partner with our VP of Safety and Delivery to make sure everything we sell is delivered to a high standard

What you bring

• A strong track record of selling and leading technical consulting or engineering services
• Experience running a practice, business unit or team with responsibility for revenue and margin
• Credibility with engineering buyers in robotics, autonomy, automotive or defence
• The drive to build something from an early stage and scale it fast
