The policy applies to how we communicate in the workplace and at Akkar-sponsored events team dinners, company events, off-site work.

It covers messaging platforms, emails, LinkedIn, in-person conversations, social media, and any visual communication in our workspace.

It applies to everyone who works at Akkar. Leadership teams carry the same responsibility outside core hours, and anyone representing Akkar publicly at events, in branded clothing, or speaking on the company's behalf is expected to uphold the same standards.

Behaviour outside of work that carries over into work and creates an unsafe or uncomfortable environment will be investigated. The standard does not change based on the channel or the audience.
